Job Purpose

Supervising and improving production at plant; supporting production teams, maintaining safety protocols, reporting issues to managers and developing strategies to improve efficiency.

Key Result Area

Maintaining quality and safety standards with on‑time delivery, keeping records, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering drawing knowledge & study.
  • Supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs and labor required.
  • Diagnosing problems in production and providing recommendations and training.
  • Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take the worker’s wellbeing into account and that also minimize the carbon footprint.
  • Keeping abreast of advances in engineering & production and sharing knowledge with co‑workers.
  • Scheduling meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Analyzing all facets of production and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Obtaining any materials & equipment required.
  • Ensuring compliance to quality, safety & environmental standards as per ISO 9001.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience of 5 to 6 years in the mechanical engineering field.
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication piping.
  • 5S & visual management, standardized work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Problem solving & decision making.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
