Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
• Strong understanding of relational database systems and DB design.
• Hands-on SQL experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience in DB administration, optimization, indexing, and transactions is desirable.
• Prior teaching in higher education or relevant industry experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skills.
• Passion for student-centric, experiential, and project-based learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
• Teach core database concepts including SQL, normalization, transactions, indexing, query optimization, stored procedures, triggers, and database design.
• Design and evaluate assignments, laboratory exercises, projects, and assessments.
• Mentor students in academic projects, internships, hackathons, and research initiatives.
• Develop industry-relevant curriculum aligned with current technologies and best practices.
• Conduct workshops and certification programs related to SQL and database technologies.
• Collaborate with industry partners for guest lectures, live projects, and internships.
• Contribute to departmental academic planning, accreditation activities, and curriculum enhancement.
• Encourage applied research and innovation in database systems and data management.

• Experience with database administration, query optimization, indexing, and transaction management is desirable.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education or relevant industry experience is preferred.
