Job summary

Newton School in India seeks a dedicated instructor to develop and teach Data Visual Analytics, DBMS, and related data engineering topics; you will design curriculum, deliver lectures and hands-on sessions covering SQL, NoSQL, normalization, and database design.

You will mentor students, create capstone projects combining data visualization with AI/ML, stay current with industry trends, and organize workshops. Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Tableau, and cloud databases is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Expertise in Data Engineering.
• Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS Certified Database Specialist) are a plus.

Responsibilities

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Expertise in Data Engineering.
  • Certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS Certified Database Specialist) are a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, Cassandra, Knn and Clustering).
  • Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong command of SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL.
  • Familiarity with database design, normalization, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of cloud database platforms like AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud Spanner.
