Rishihood is India’s first national transformation university. It prepares learners to solve the big problems of tomorrow. Our transformative education is built on three pillars:
- Personal Impact – developing physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual strength.
- Professional Impact – building real-world skills through industry-integrated, practice-based learning.
- Public Impact – fostering interdisciplinary thinking and a commitment to nation-building.
At Rishihood, we nurture leaders who will transform themselves, their professions, and the nation.
Rishihood University is looking for a Director to build and run the Career Advancement Cell, our reimagined placement function. This is a hands‑on leadership role: you will own building the broader system that helps every learner find their right next step, whether that is a job, a startup, graduate school, public service, or family business leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Core placement operations
- Build and manage relationships with recruiting companies; run placement drives end to end (scheduling, logistics, employer coordination)
- Track and report placement rate, median salary, employer quality, and internship participation each semester
- Run resume coaching, mock interviews, and career readiness sessions for learners
- Maintain a live database of student profiles, employer contacts, and offer data
- Coordinate with faculty and program leads on internship requirements and academic calendar alignment
Building the five pathways
- Design pathway-specific support tracks for Professional Careers, Entrepreneurship & Family Business, Public Leadership, Research & Graduate Studies, and Institution Building
- Set up founder mentoring and investor introduction touchpoints in partnership with Venture Studio.
- Build relationships with government fellowship programs, think tanks, and public policy institutions
- Support graduate school and PhD applications for learners headed to research
- Create pathways into philanthropic and mission-driven organizations for learners interested in institution building.
Learner journey and engagement
- Run structured touchpoints across all four years: exposure and discovery in Year 1, internships and mission projects in Year 2, mentorship and capstones in Year 3, and launch support in Year 4
- Track long-term alumni outcomes, not just first-job placement
Partnerships
- Serve as relationship owner for external partners tied to Rishihood's National Missions (hospitals, government bodies, industry associations, research centres, and similar)
- Build and maintain the alumni network for mentorship, recruitment, and lifelong engagement
Technology and reporting
- Explore and deploy AI tools for career discovery, skills gap analysis, interview simulation, and opportunity matching, so advisors can focus on mentorship and relationships.
- Report to the COO Office on placement outcomes and pathway metrics each term
Requirements:
- 8 to 12 years of experience in placements, career services, campus relations, or corporate HR/talent acquisition, with a proven track record of building employer relationships and running placement operations
- Comfort working across both tactical execution (calls, drives, spreadsheets) and long-term relationship building (government, investors, alumni)
- Strong communication skills and ability to coach students one on one
- Familiarity with the Indian higher education and hiring landscape; startup, government, or public policy exposure is a plus
- Belief in the idea that a university's job is to prepare people for multiple kinds of professional success, not just a job offer
