Job summary

Isgec Heavy Engineering Ltd. is seeking a subcontracting specialist to manage engineering and fabrication subcontractors from identification to delivery. You will coordinate drawings, BOM, and technical requirements to ensure alignment with project specs.

You will monitor progress, liaise with production, quality, design, planning, purchase and stores, and drive cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards across subcontracted components.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop suitable subcontractors/vendors for engineering and fabrication requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for job allocation, drawings, specifications, BOM and technical requirements.
• Plan and monitor subcontracting activities to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding raw material availability, production status and dispatch schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, Planning, Purchase and Stores departments.
• Ensure subcontracted components are manufactured as per approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Follow up with Quality/Inspection teams for inspection and clearance of subcontracted components.
• Handle rejection, rework and quality-related issues with subcontractors and ensure corrective actions.
• Support cost negotiation and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
