Job summary

Roots Group of Companies is seeking a procurement & materials coordination professional to manage subcontracting activities, SAP MM-based procurement, and supplier coordination. The role involves ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and aligning purchasing with production requirements.

The incumbent should be proficient in MS Office and capable of new source development, QMS processes, and vendor management to support efficient manufacturing operations in Tamil Nadu.

Qualifications

• Experience with subcontract handling in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in SAP MM module for procurement and materials management.
• Strong MS Office skills for data handling and reporting.
• Experience in new source development and supplier onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor activities to ensure on-time delivery and materials readiness.
• Monitor and update inventory levels and stock movements across locations.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure delivery as per dispatch plans for fettling, machining, and surface treatment.
• Prepare and release purchase orders and supplier schedulings to align with production plans.
