Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Study Abroad Counsellor role based in Jaipur. The counsellor will meet prospective students and families, understand their academic background and goals, and advise them on suitable countries, universities, and programs. Daily responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, explaining admission and visa processes, assisting with application documentation, and tracking student progress through each stage. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external partners, maintaining accurate records, and following up with students via phone, email, and in-person meetings. The counsellor will also support information sessions, presentations, and outreach activities to promote study abroad programs and ensure a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide clear, empathetic, and professional guidance to students and families, with strong listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience in academic or study abroad counselling, admissions, or education management, including familiarity with international universities and visa procedures.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in handling applications, documentation, and student records.
• Proficiency in using computers and common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM or student management systems) for daily operations.
• Comfort with delivering presentations, conducting seminars or workshops, and engaging with groups to explain study abroad opportunities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while independently managing a student portfolio and meeting counselling targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counselling, or international studies is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, with knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages considered beneficial.
• Prior experience in an education consultancy, language training institute, or similar setting in India is preferred but not mandatory.
