Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Study Abroad Counsellor role based in Faridabad. The Study Abroad Counsellor will guide students and families through the complete admissions journey, including profile evaluation, university and course shortlisting, and timeline planning. Daily responsibilities include conducting counselling sessions, explaining application requirements, assisting with documentation, and helping students prepare for tests and interviews as needed. The role involves staying updated on global education trends, coordinating with internal teams to deliver high-quality services, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions and progress. The counsellor will also participate in outreach activities, webinars, and events to build awareness of AdmitVerse’s offerings and support more students.

Qualifications

• Strong counselling and mentoring skills with the ability to provide clear, empathetic guidance to students and families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confident spoken and written English; additional language proficiency is an advantage.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases, deadlines, and documentation efficiently.
• Knowledge of study abroad processes, university application requirements, and standardized tests (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, GRE) is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with using digital tools, CRM or student management systems, and online research to gather and present information on global programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counselling, psychology, or international relations is preferred.
• Prior experience in academic counselling, admissions consulting, or education services is an asset but not mandatory.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team, maintain confidentiality, and uphold a student-centric, non-discriminatory approach.
