Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. in Gurugram is seeking an experienced engineer to bridge design studio and engineering teams. You will support feasibility checks, ensure adherence to company standards, and assist in the release of surfaces and data for engineering.

The role requires 5–15 years of live project experience, strong CAD skills (Alias, Catia/UG/NX), and a solid understanding of BIW, trims, and sheet metal feasibility.

Qualifications

• Educational requirement: Engg / Design.
• Experience: 5 to 15 years of professional experience in live projects.
• Experience with OEM preferred.

• Support various studio functions to maintain feasible conceptualization and design during negotiation with engineering.

Job Role:

Bridging the gap if any between Design studio and Engineering Teams. Support different functions in studio to keep a realistic approach during conceptualization and later keep designer approach during negotiation phase with engineering team.

Job Responsibility:

Feasibility checks for design concepts. Checks Engineering, Packaging, Regulatory & Manufacturing feasibility in CAS & Class-A Data. Ensure adherence to MSIL & Suzuki design standards, Support release of surface and data for engineering processes, Maintain documentation & participate in design reviews.

Competency Requirement:

Technical / Functional:

Basic knowledge of Class-A surfacing,

Strong understanding of packaging & feasibility,

Engineering & Design CAD handling in Alias / NX,

Understand BIW, Trims, Plastic/Sheet metal feasibility

Behavioral:

Representing styling intent with engineering counterparts and converging engineering solution with best possible design
