  • Experience of 1-3 years in student engagement, student affairs, events, higher education or community development
  • Experience coordinating events, programmes or student-facing initiatives
  • Knowledge of student engagement principles and student development practices
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education, Student Affairs, Management, Psychology or related discipline. (Desirable)
  • Experience working in a higher education institution (Desirable)
  • Experience supporting clubs, societies, sports programmes or student leadership initiatives (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of UK higher education environments and student experience frameworks (Desirable)
  • Experience using student information systems, CRM platforms or survey tools (Desirable)

Student Experience & Academic Administration Executive
Location: University of Southampton Delhi
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Overview

The University of Southampton, in partnership with Oxford International Education Group (OIEG), has successfully launched its first international campus in India, located in Gurgaon, Delhi. This initiative, developed in response to India's New Education Policy, represents a significant investment in transnational education. The campus provides Indian students with the opportunity to earn a globally recognised degree without leaving the country.

Job Purpose

The Student Experience & Academic Administration Executive will support the smooth delivery of academic operations across the student lifecycle. This role assists with maintaining student records, coordinating examinations, supporting timetabling and classroom logistics, and ensuring accurate academic documentation. The position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a student-centred approach.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Academic Records & Student Systems Support
  • Maintain student records
  • Support SIS updates
  • Respond to record queries
Exams & Assessment Coordination
  • Prepare timetables and seating plans
Timetabling & Classroom Support
  • Assist with timetables
  • Coordinate room bookings
Student Issues & Case Administration
  • Support appeals, complaints and misconduct administration
  • Maintain confidential records
  • Schedule meetings and track cases
Statutory & Academic Reporting Support
  • Assist with statutory reporting
Academic Operations & Event Support
  • Support orientation, registration, exam boards and graduation
  • Assist logistics and coordination
Cross Functional Coordination
  • Liaise with departments, IT and student services
  • Communicate procedures and attend meetings
General Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain trackers and files

Special Requirements
  • The role will require occasional evening and weekend working to support student events, orientation activities, sports programmes and university ceremonies.
  • The post holder may be required to travel locally in support of student engagement activities and external partnerships.
  • The role includes active participation in student-facing activities throughout the academic year.
