Job summary

Oxford International Education Group in Mumbai seeks a dynamic Head of Partner Recruitment to drive university partnerships in India. You will lead recruitment strategy, manage agent relationships and collaborate with Admissions, Marketing and Conversion to achieve enrolment targets.

With travel across India and occasional international travel, you will report to the VP and work within a high-targeted sales culture. Fluency in English is essential and a degree in business/marketing is required.

Qualifications

  • Eligible to live, work and travel in India.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment strategy for partners in India, deputizing the VP as needed.
  • Own and drive partner recruitment strategy in India.
  • Manage agent relationships to meet targets.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing and Conversion teams to hit enrolment targets.
  • Build relationships with partners and overseas networks to expand market presence.
  • Provide market intelligence and reports to inform future activity.

Job purpose

With direction from the VP, this role is to provide effective professional support for the University Partnerships strategic and operational recruitment objectives for Our Partners across India. The role requires exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong internal and external relationships, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across a diverse set of audiences, aa well as negotiation and influencing skills. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, target-driven, and a strong team player with a flexible approach to work. The role will include regular domestic travel with occasional domestic and international travel. It is expected that the post-holder will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience recruiting students.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To be the strategic lead for our Partners Recruitment in India, a member of the Leadership team within India, deputizing the VP on matters relating to India recruitment as required.
  • To own and drive the strategy for recruitment for our Partners in India, in consultation with the VP.
  • Directly responsible for agent relationships ensuring results are delivered in line with or above targets
  • To work with the VP to achieve the recruitment targets for our Partners.
  • To work with colleagues in Admissions to ensure that requirements are competitive and in line with competitive market standards, ensuring the pipeline is moving and addressing other admissions issues that may arise.
  • To work with colleagues in Marketing to ensure relevant marketing materials needed for the region are produced in a timely manner and that any planned campaigns are launched in time to deliver targets.
  • To work with colleagues in Conversion to ensure conversion campaigns are built to drive the maximum conversion rate through advanced planning and the right messaging.
  • To build effective working relationships with our Partners to deliver collaborative recruitment activities to achieve enrolment targets.
  • To build strategic, market leading relationships with our agents across India that drive our growth and market presence, enabling targets to be met or exceeded.
  • To develop a strong understanding of the Oxford International overall brand positioning, brand messages, subject provision and the unique positioning, provision and strengths of our partners and to use these to effectively promote the colleges to students, parents and key influencers in a range of priority markets.
  • To be fully conversant with the admissions criteria, policies and procedures to ensure that all recruitment activities are compliant.
  • To attend recruitment events and advise/counsel students.
  • To support effective relationship management with respect to overseas recruitment representatives, including undertaking a liaison role with agents in particular priority markets, identifying potential new representation in markets where Our Partners is not currently represented, and offering training for counsellors. With direction from the VP and in collaboration with colleagues from across the Marketing and Student Recruitment department, to support effective communication across Oxford International’s overseas network.
  • To provide comprehensive reports on market visits where required, to disseminate these reports appropriately within the organization and to ensure that market intelligence gained through recruitment activity is fed back to colleagues within the Marketing and Student Recruitment Department and to colleges to inform future activity and the development of new products and services.
  • To work collaboratively with other colleagues in the recruitment team in disseminating and providing training for staff across the organization who are engaged in student recruitment activities.
  • Any other such duties deemed reasonable within the scope of the role that are required by the business.
Statutory requirements

  • Meet statutory and organizational child-safeguarding requirements.
Qualifications
  • Educated to a minimum degree level.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and at least one of the languages spoken in the region of responsibility.
  • Certified training in sale and/or marketing programs.
  • Degree in a business or marketing-related subject.
Experience and knowledge
  • Significant experience in educational sales in order ‘to hit the ground running’ and have an immediate impact.
  • Excellent understanding of sales and marketing processes in the international education sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of the region and its market trends.
  • Excellent knowledge of the international HE and/or 6th Form market.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the products associated with international HE and/or 6th Form.
  • Experience of producing sales reports.
  • Good knowledge of Oxford International’s portfolio of products and partners.
