Job summary

Toyo Engineering India is looking for a Structural Steel Engineer to manage field installation, alignment, and quality control of heavy industrial steel frameworks at project sites in India. You will inspect pipe racks, equipment supports, and modular skids to ensure compliance with drawings, load limits and safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering and 5–10 years of experience with proficiency in reading complex isometrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical engineering required.
• 5–10 years of experience in heavy industrial projects preferred.
• Ability to read complex isometrics and structural drawings with software familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Site supervision of erection, alignment, bolting and welding of structural steel.
• Quality control of fabricated members for defects and tolerance compliance.
• Review RFIs, connection details, and site modification queries for design verification.
• Maintain safety standards per oil and gas and heavy rigging protocols.
• Coordinate with piping, civil and mechanical teams to resolve clashes.

Job description

• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years working on heavy industrial, oil and gas, or refinery projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading complex isometric and structural drawings, plus familiarity with analysis software like STAAD.Pro or Tekla.
• Standards Knowledge: Strong grasp of international codes (AISC, Eurocode, or IS codes)

Key Responsibilities :

• Site Supervision: Oversee the erection, alignment, bolting, and welding of structural steel.
• Quality Control: Check fabricated steel members for defects, proper fit-up, and tolerance compliance.
• Design Verification: Review site modification queries, connection details, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Safety Enforcement: Maintain strict compliance with oil and gas safety standards and heavy rigging protocols.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Work alongside piping, civil, and mechanical teams to clear interference clashes.
