Job summary

Rightfit Personnel Services seeks a Structural Design Engineer for offshore projects. You will perform structural analysis, detailed design, and calculations for FPSO and FLNG modules from FEED to detailed engineering execution, while collaborating with 3D models and producing technical reports.

You will coordinate with E3D/S3D teams, verify primary and secondary steel designs, and prepare calculations for class approval and client sign-off, ensuring compliance with API RP 2A, AISC, Eurocode,

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Structural, Civil, or Marine/Ocean Engineering.
• 5–10 years of direct Bentley SACS offshore structural analysis experience.
• Minimum 5 years in offshore topside module design.
• Experience on FPSO or FLNG projects.
• Knowledge of API RP 2A, AISC 360/ASD/LRFD, Eurocode and DNV-RP guidelines.

Department: Offshore Structural Engineering

Role Summary

The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for performing structural analysis, detailed design, and technical calculations for primary and secondary steel structures on FPSO and FLNG modules from feed through detailed engineering execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, run, and evaluate 3D structural analysis models in SACS for operating, extreme, environmental, lifting, transport, and fatigue load conditions.
• Design and verify primary steel (module main frames, trusses, deck beams, columns) and secondary steel (pipe racks, access platforms, equipment supports, monorails, walkways).
• Perform connection designs (welded/bolted joints, gusset plates, stiffeners) using analytical methods and FEA tools.
• Coordinate with 3D modeling teams (E3D/S3D) to translate structural analysis results into clear execution drawings and material take-offs (MTO).
• Prepare comprehensive calculation reports for class approval and client sign-off.

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelors degree in Structural, Civil, or Marine/Ocean Engineering.
• SACS Experience:5 to 10 years of direct experience utilizing Bentley SACS for offshore structural analysis.
• Module Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience dedicated to offshore topside module design.
• Domain Focus: Proven, hands-on track record in primary and secondary steel design specifically for FPSO or FLNG projects.
• Standards Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of API RP 2A, AISC 360/ASD/LRFD, Eurocode, DNV-RP guidelines, and offshore lifting/transport regulations.
