Job summary

FRND is seeking a motivated Strategy Associate - International to join our team. You will own strategic initiatives from concept to execution, working cross-functionally to achieve objectives and drive international growth across geographies.

You will leverage SQL to extract and analyse large datasets, uncovering key business insights that shape strategic decisions. The role emphasizes localisation, GTM planning, and scaling products in global markets.

Qualifications

• 1.5-3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with growth, expansion, or strategic initiatives for consumer internet, social, gaming, marketplace, or tech products is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated exposure to scaling products, businesses, or growth initiatives across international markets.

• Utilise SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets, enabling a deeper understanding and interpretation of key business metrics.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends, competitor landscapes, and internal performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation.
• Analyse user behaviour, engagement metrics, and business performance across multiple geographies to drive scalable growth initiatives.
• Work closely with product, growth, and operations teams to localise strategies and optimise product-market fit in international markets.
• Evaluate international market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• 1.5-3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, investment banking, or a similar role within a fast-paced environment.
• Tier 1 institution ( preferably IIT, BITS, and IIM)
• Experience working on growth, expansion, or strategic initiatives for consumer internet, social, gaming, marketplace, or tech products is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated exposure to scaling products, businesses, or growth initiatives across international markets.
• Experience with rapid experimentation and iterating based on results to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong ability to generate strategy-driving insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build cross-functional alignment and foster collaboration.
• Proficiency in SQL and other data manipulation tools is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with international expansion, localisation strategies, and go-to-market planning is a strong plus.
• Candidates who have worked in high-growth startups scaling products across multiple countries will be preferred.

The FRND team operates six days a week, with the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month as working days.
