Job summary

Titan Company’s Tanishq division is seeking a Store Merchandiser to anchor in-store merchandising, drive assortment alignment, stock health and visual execution. You will coordinate with regional merchandisers, cluster managers and store teams to ensure timely replenishment, optimal product placement and impactful launches.

You will analyze store data, provide insights on customer preferences, and support focused merchandising programs.

Responsibilities

• Assortment & Stock Health Management: Review store-level assortment alignment and highlight gaps or opportunities to the Regional Merchandiser.
• Merchandise Performance Tracking & Action Support: Track key merchandise indicators and convert data into actionable recommendations.
• Product Visibility & New Collection Execution: Ensure timely execution of new collection launches and merchandising interventions.
• Inventory Ageing & Merchandise Optimization: Identify aged inventory and coordinate corrective actions with store and regional teams.
• Product Feedback & Market Intelligence: Capture customer feedback and market trends to inform future assortment decisions.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Store teams, Regional Merchandisers, Cluster Manager, ABM and VM to drive initiatives.

Functional Reporting - Regional Merchandiser

Role Purpose

The Store Merchandiser acts as the merchandising anchor within the store, ensuring effective execution of assortment, product visibility, stock-health initiatives, new collection launches and merchandise interventions. The role supports regional merchandising priorities by providing structured store-level insights, customer feedback and product intelligence while ensuring strong execution of merchandising actions on the ground.

By enabling the right products to be available, visible, and supported with timely merchandising actions, the role contributes to improved customer experience, stronger merchandise productivity, and overall store business performance. The role requires a balance of operational discipline, product understanding, analytical thinking, and collaboration with store and merchandising teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assortment & Stock Health Management

• Review store-level assortment alignment and highlight gaps or opportunities to the Regional Merchandiser.
• Validate model stock recommendations and provide store-specific inputs based on customer preferences and catchment-based demand.
• Monitor stock availability, assortment completeness and product representation across key categories.
• Support store teams in ensuring timely replenishment and optimal product placement.

2. Merchandise Performance Tracking & Action Support

• Track key merchandise indicators shared by regional or corporate merch team and identify areas requiring attention.
• These include but are not limited to stock turn, studded share, profitable gold/ AMC
• Interpret store-level merchandise performance data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
• Support execution of focus-category initiatives, strategic interventions and priority merchandise programs.
• Share structured observations on customer response, product movement, and category opportunities.

3. Product Visibility & New Collection Execution

• Ensure timely execution of new collection launches and merchandising interventions within the store.
• Drive regular display rotations for new arrivals, bestsellers, slow-moving and aged inventory as per guidelines.
• Conduct product familiarisation sessions (NPIMs) with store teams for priority launches and interventions.
• Monitor product visibility and provide feedback on display effectiveness and customer engagement.

4. Inventory Ageing & Merchandise Optimization

• Support identification and movement of aged inventory and tail variants through approved routes.
• Monitor inventory ageing trends and work with store and regional teams on corrective actions.
• Track execution effectiveness and share learnings from store-level interventions.

5. Product Feedback & Market Intelligence

• Capture and share structured customer feedback, product requirements, and local demand trends.
• Conduct periodic competitor merchandise observations and share relevant insights.
• Identify recurring merchandise-related customer objections and emerging opportunities from NP and detractor reports.
• Provide bottom-up inputs to support future assortment and product decisions.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Store team, Regional Merchandisers, Cluster Manager, ABM and VM.
• Ensure timely communication and execution of merchandising initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for store-level merchandising requirements and feedback.

Preferred Experience

• Graduate in any discipline.
