Job summary

Waman Hari Pethe Jewellers in Mumbai seeks a detail-oriented Jewellery Merchandiser to manage product planning, assortment, inventory, pricing, and cross-functional coordination across design, production, sales and retail teams.

The right candidate will have strong jewellery product knowledge, market trend awareness, and proven ability to translate sales data into actionable plans for seasonal assortments and promotions.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business Management, Retail, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of jewellery merchandising or luxury retail experience.
• Strong understanding of jewellery products, metals, gemstones, designs, and manufacturing processes.
• Good analytical and numerical skills with ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with ACME merchandising software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage jewellery product assortments based on customer preferences and sales data.
• Coordinate with design, production, sourcing, quality, sales, and retail teams for timely product availability.
• Monitor product performance, sales trends, stock levels, and inventory movement.
• Analyze fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving jewellery styles and recommend actions.
• Prepare and maintain product master data including SKU, descriptions, metal details, gemstones, weights, and pricing.
• Coordinate new product launches and ensure products are available within timelines.
• Work with design team to provide inputs based on market demand and performance.
• Track manufacturing timelines with production and vendors; manage deliveries.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially driven Jewellery Merchandiser to manage product planning, assortment, inventory, pricing, and coordination across design, production, sales, and retail teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of jewellery products, market trends, customer preferences, and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities :-

• Plan and manage jewellery product assortments based on customer preferences, market trends, sales data, and business requirements.
• Coordinate with design, production, sourcing, quality, sales, and retail teams to ensure timely availability of products.
• Monitor product performance, sales trends, stock levels, and inventory movement.
• Analyse fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving jewellery styles and recommend appropriate actions.
• Prepare and maintain product master data, including SKU, product descriptions, metal details, gemstone specifications, weights, pricing, and other relevant information.
• Assist in developing seasonal and collection-wise product plans.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify emerging jewellery trends, designs, price points, and customer preferences.
• Coordinate new product launches and ensure products are available within agreed timelines.
• Work closely with the design team to provide inputs based on market demand and commercial performance.
• Coordinate with production and vendors to track manufacturing timelines, product availability, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment, transfers, markdowns, or liquidation where required.
• Support pricing and margin analysis in coordination with management and finance teams.
• Prepare regular reports on sales, inventory, product performance, and assortment.
• Ensure product information, images, tags, and catalogue details are accurate and updated.
• Coordinate with retail/e-commerce teams for product launches, promotions, visual merchandising, and online listings.
• Assist in planning promotional activities and offers based on inventory and sales requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure smooth movement of jewellery between stores, warehouses, and other locations.
• Identify opportunities to improve product mix, inventory turnover, and overall profitability.

Requirements :-

• Graduate degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business Management, Retail, or a related field preferred.
