Job summary

Nirmal Group in India is seeking a Stores Operations Manager to lead inventory strategy aligned with AOP and production needs. You will oversee receipt, storage, and issue of materials, implement FIFO/FEFO, and ensure secure handling of high-value items.

The role covers GST compliance, E-way bill management, audit readiness, and cost control across storage, logistics, and working capital. You will build team capabilities, drive ERP-based tracking, and establish lean processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategy aligned with AOP and production requirements.
• Maintain optimum stock levels of raw materials, WIP, finished goods, consumables, and spares.
• Conduct periodic physical verification and reconciliation of inventory.
• Oversee receipt, inspection coordination, binning, storage, and issuance of materials as per SOP.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO systems for zinc rods, alloy materials, and consumables.
• Ensure proper preservation and handling of high-value and sensitive materials.
• Establish barcode/RFID-based tracking systems through ERP.
• Validate purchase orders, invoices, transport documents, and statutory compliance documents.
• Ensure GST compliance, E-way bill management, and audit documentation readiness.
• Coordinate with procurement and finance for timely vendor payments and reconciliation.
• Monitor and control inventory carrying cost and slow/non-moving inventory.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives in storage, logistics, and material handling.
• Drive periodic review of minimum–maximum stock levels.
• Ensure stores operations comply with safety and environmental standards.
• Maintain statutory records and documentation for audits.
• Implement secure storage practices to prevent pilferage and losses.
• Develop organization structure for Stores & Commercial function.
• Conduct training programs on ERP, compliance, and material management.
• Drive performance management and engagement initiatives.
