Job summary

RTS Power Corporation is seeking a seasoned Stores & Inventory professional in Kolkata to manage day-to-day operations, ensure material availability for production, and coordinate with multiple teams. You will oversee GRN, stock registers and ensure proper storage and traceability of transformer manufacturing materials.

The role requires strong Excel and ERP skills, vendor coordination, and experience in transformer-related materials. ERP-based inventory management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Stores & Inventory operations including receipt, inspection, storage and issue of materials.
• Maintain GRN, stock registers, material issue slips and store records.
• Ensure proper material identification, tagging, binning and storage.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure availability for production.
• Conduct stock verification and reconciliation; monitor slow-moving, obsolete materials.
• Handle transformer manufacturing materials (CRGO, copper, aluminium, transformer oil, insulation, bushings, radiators, tanks and components).
• Assist in purchase activities: collecting indents, quotations, comparative statements.
• Coordinate with vendors for price, quality, delivery.
• Follow up on pending Purchase Orders; maintain supplier documents.
• Maintain inventory through ERP and MS Excel; prepare stock/MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Accounts and Purchase teams.
• Supervise Store Assistants/Keepers; allocate daily activities.
• Ensure material traceability and documentation from receipt to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Stores & Inventory operations, including receipt, inspection, storage and issue of materials.
• Maintain GRN, stock registers, material issue slips and other store records.
• Ensure proper material identification, tagging, binning and systematic storage.
• Monitor minimum/maximum/reorder stock levels and ensure uninterrupted material availability for production.
• Conduct physical stock verification and reconciliation; monitor slow-moving, obsolete and rejected materials.
• Handle transformer manufacturing materials such as CRGO, copper, aluminium, transformer oil, insulation materials, bushings, radiators, tanks and electrical components.
• Assist in purchase activities, including collecting indents, obtaining quotations and preparing comparative statements.
• Coordinate with vendors for price, quality, specifications and timely delivery.
• Follow up on pending Purchase Orders and maintain supplier documentation.
• Maintain inventory through ERP and MS Excel and prepare stock/MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Accounts and Purchase teams.
• Supervise Store Assistants/Store Keepers/Helpers and allocate daily activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in Transformer Manufacturing / Electrical Equipment / Heavy Engineering will be preferred.
• Candidates with ERP-based inventory management experience will have an added advantage.
