Responsibilities

• Maintain GRN, stock registers, and other store records; monitor stock levels.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Store & Purchase Executive to manage day-to-day procurement, inventory, material receipt, storage and issue activities at our plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely availability of materials while maintaining optimum inventory levels and proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase

• Handle day-to-day purchase activities for plant requirements.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and prepare comparative statements.
• Coordinate with vendors for price, quality and delivery timelines.
• Generate and process Purchase Orders as per approved requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Identify new vendors and maintain vendor database.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms wherever required.
• Coordinate with Accounts for invoice verification and payment-related queries.

Stores & Inventory

• Manage receipt, storage and issue of materials at the plant.
• Verify material quantity and quality against Purchase Orders and delivery documents.
• Maintain GRN, Material Issue Slips, Stock Registers and other store records.
• Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper identification, tagging and systematic storage of materials.
• Maintain proper records of tools, consumables, spares, PPE and other plant materials.
• Ensure housekeeping and safety standards within the store area.

Documentation & MIS

• Maintain purchase and inventory documentation.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock and purchase MIS.
• Track pending Purchase Orders and material deliveries.
• Maintain vendor performance and purchase records.
• Ensure all transactions are updated in ERP/HRMS/Inventory Management System as applicable.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline; Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Commerce or related field preferred.
• 36 years of experience in Stores & Purchase / Procurement / Inventory Management.
• Experience in plant, manufacturing, infrastructure, waste management, engineering or similar industries preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of inventory control and store documentation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
