Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS is seeking an experienced Storage Migration Engineer to plan, design, and execute enterprise storage migrations across SAN, NAS, and Block Storage environments. You will work with multi-vendor platforms and migration tools to minimize business disruption.

The role requires hands-on experience with migration tools, knowledge of storage platforms, and collaboration with customers and project teams. Experience with VMware/storage vMotion is a plus in this position.

• Troubleshoot migration issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with customers, PMs, and infrastructure teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Support upgrades, DR activities, and post-migration validation.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Storage Migration Engineer with expertise in planning and executing enterprise SAN, NAS, and Block Storage migration projects across multi-vendor storage platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience with storage migration tools, migration planning, cloud migrations, and enterprise storage technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute SAN, NAS, and Block Storage migration projects.
• Perform file and block migrations using industry-standard migration tools.
• Execute storage migrations across enterprise storage platforms with minimal business disruption.
• Prepare migration plans, runbooks, implementation documents, and rollback procedures.
• Perform storage provisioning, replication, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot migration-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Work closely with customers, project managers, and infrastructure teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Support storage upgrades, disaster recovery activities, and post‑migration validation.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SAN, NAS, and Block Storage migrations.
• Hands‑on experience with migration tools such as Komprise, Datadobi, Parsec, Cirrus Data Migration (CMC/CMO), or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms including NetApp, Pure Storage, Hitachi, EMC PowerMax/VMAX, or HPE 3PAR.
• Experience with storage replication technologies.
• Good understanding of Brocade and Cisco SAN switches, zoning, masking, and LUN provisioning.
• Experience with VMware environments and Storage vMotion is preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, UNIX (AIX/HP‑UX) storage administration.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud storage migrations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to Agile project delivery.
• Relevant storage certifications (NetApp, Pure Storage, Hitachi, EMC, Brocade, or Cloud certifications).
