Job summary

Integrated Personnel Services in Chennai is seeking a Static Equipment Engineer with BE/BTech (Mechanical) to execute design engineering for static equipment like pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, and storage tanks. You will define scope of work, prepare technical specifications and data sheets, and review vendor documents for compliance with project standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div1/Div2, API 650/620, and TEMA, plus hands-on

Qualifications

• Be able to design static equipment per ASME/API/TEMA standards.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical specs and data sheets.
• Experience with weight control and BOM/MTO support.

Responsibilities

• Execute design engineering activities for static equipment (press. vessels, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, tanks).
• Define scope of work from data and project requirements for the discipline.
• Prepare and issue technical specs, mechanical data sheets, and requisitions.

Job details:

Responsibilities:

• Execute design engineering activities for static equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, and storage tanks.
• Identify project requirements, available data, and define the scope of work for the discipline.
• Prepare and issue technical specifications, mechanical data sheets, purchase requisitions, and technical bid evaluations.
• Review vendor documents to ensure compliance with project and engineering standards.
• Provide inputs and support for calculation reports, MTO/BOQ/BOM, and weight control documentation.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge in the design of static equipment including reactors, pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, and storage tanks in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div1/Div2, API 650/620, and TEMA standards.
• Basic understanding of materials of construction such as carbon steels and corrosionresistant alloys (CRA).
• Handson experience with design software tools such as PV Elite, COMPRESS, and ETANK.
