The/Nudge Institute seeks a dynamic state program leader for the Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana (RJ-SAY) in Rajasthan. This role leads SPMU operations, collaborates with RGAVP and state government, and drives program delivery to reach ultra-poor households through Graduation Approach.

Based in Jaipur, the role requires managing field operations, budgets, compliance, and data-driven monitoring to scale impact across districts.

Responsabilités

  • Provide leadership to The/Nudge's SPMU efforts in Rajasthan and build a strong, credible presence with RGAVP and the state government.
  • Lead all operations and program delivery for RJ-SAY, and collaborate with government stakeholders to scale the program.
  • Work with RGAVP and other departments to ensure timely budget release for field operations.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to statutory compliances, reporting and documentation as prescribed by the Government and The/Nudge.
  • Support RGAVP in designing strategy and program approaches to reach ultra-poor and PVTG households via Graduation Approach.
  • Oversee field implementation across program blocks with SHG inclusion and livelihood training.
  • Build relationships with government departments to promote ultra-poor targeting and ensure program success.

What are we solving for?

We are solving for households in poverty who are also financially and socially vulnerable through a targeted, multi-faceted, and sequenced model called the graduation approach, which has demonstrated that we can durably pull households out of poverty.

At The/Nudge Institute, We Have Been Piloting This Program For The Past 3 Years And Are Now Scaling It Across Multiple States. Our Purpose Is To Enable The Most Excluded Individuals To Become Contributing Members Of The Economy. We Will

  • Enable the government to adopt by providing research, design, and implementation support
  • Continue to iterate on the program design to create impact at scale through our own implementation efforts
  • Support more NGOs in adopting the graduation approach by offering technical expertise and capacity building
  • Build evidence on the graduation approach to nudge governments to adopt at scale
  • Develop technology solutions that enable NGOs and governments to adopt and implement the program at scale and with quality
About The Role

This position is for the State Program Management Unit (SPMU) at Jaipur, anchored within RGAVP, for the Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana (RJ-SAY), which is a Graduation Approach program for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) households in Rajasthan.

What will you do?
  • Provide leadership to The/Nudge's SPMU efforts in Rajasthan and build a strong, credible presence for The/Nudge with RGAVP and the state government
  • Lead all operations and program delivery for RJ-SAY, and work with all stakeholders, especially the Government, to scale up the program
  • Work closely with RGAVP and other relevant departments to ensure budgets are released on time so field operations run smoothly
  • Ensure 100% adherence to statutory compliances, reporting and documentation as prescribed by the Government and The/Nudge
  • Support RGAVP in the research and development of a strategy and program design to reach ultra-poor and PVTG households through the Graduation Approach / Economic Inclusion Program, built on top of community institutions enabled by Rajeevika / DAY-NRLM
  • Support RGAVP in planning activities, orienting teams on them and implementing them regularly, with proper monitoring
  • Support RGAVP in implementing action research on the Graduation Approach through the RJ-SAY special project, based on the strategy and design developed with key stakeholders
  • Oversee field implementation across program blocks (currently Kishanganj, Shahbad, Pindwara and Todabhim), including Small Group formation, SHG inclusion, livelihood training, entitlements mapping and adherence to the Package of Practices (POP)
  • Enable convergence of state initiatives (social security, livelihood promotion, financial inclusion, social empowerment) toward the goal of graduating women and their households out of ultra-poverty
  • Own the implementation and outcomes of the special project, including participant retention and progress against graduation milestones
  • Support RGAVP and DAY-NRLM in reviewing the progress of the special project periodically so it can be improved and scaled
  • Support the mission in using data and technology to keep a continuous flow of reliable data from the field
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at RGAVP, including the State Mission Director's office, so the special project succeeds
  • Build relationships with key government departments (including Tribal Area Development and district administrations) and support the adoption of strategies targeting the ultra-poor
  • Lead the learning and development of the state and field team working on this program.
