Job summary

The/Nudge Institute in India is seeking a field-based Program Coordinator to advance the graduation approach for rural livelihoods. You will work with SRLMs to ensure timely, high-quality implementation across districts, coordinating with DMMU/BMMU and community partners.

The role requires a graduate with 4–6 years in development, willingness to work in Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills region, and a valid two-wheeler license.

Qualifications

• Graduate; postgraduate preferred in rural development, agriculture, social work or related fields.
• 4–6 years of relevant development sector experience.
• Experience in district-level roles with NRLM/SRLMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and embody The/Nudge Spirit across SRLM partnerships.
• Ensure project activities are implemented on time with quality per plan and SOPs.
• Coordinate with district teams for PIP, PoP, COM and capacity building.
• Organize capacity building training for project teams and communities.
• Facilitate field visits and manage logistics for dignitaries and officials.
• Ensure timely data collection, entry, processing and reporting.
• Support monitoring and evaluation and maintain strong grassroots stakeholder relations.
• Maintain documentation and reporting to respective offices.

Enable govt to adopt by providing research, design, and implementation support

Continue to implement on its own to iterate the design for impact at scale

Enable more NGOs to adopt technical and capacity-building support

Continue to generate data on poverty and evidence on graduation approach to nudge governments to adopt at-scale

Build technology solutions for NGOs and governments to adopt and implement at scale & with quality.

What will you do?

The/Nudge is working with various state SRLMs to help increase adoption of the graduation approach/ economic inclusion program by targeting vulnerable rural women through community institutions.

• To understand and practice the Spirits of The/Nudge Institute and the respective SRLMs
• Ensure all project activities are implemented on time with utmost quality as per approved Project Implementation Plan (PIP)/ Standard Operating Procedure (SoP)/ Package of Practice (PoP)/ Community Operational Manual (COM) in the respective districts.
• Support the district in projects under PVTG Domain.
• Coordinate with DMMU and BMMU to ensure smooth implementation of the project .
• Coordinate and facilitate in organizing capacity building training of project team and community.
• Coordinate and lead in organizing any project related event at regional and district.
• Coordinate and support in any field visits of dignitaries and officials.
• Ensure timely planning and implementation of project activities.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting related to the project to respective offices.
• Facilitate the timely collection/ entry, processing and reporting of data.
• Support and practice monitoring & evaluation of projects.
• Good stakeholder management at the grassroots level.

Who are we looking for in this role?

• Candidate must be graduate; post-graduate will be preferred, in relevant streams like rural development, rural management, agriculture, forestry, social work, anthropology etc.
• Candidate must have 4-6 years of relevant experience in the development sector/ rural development projects/ poverty eradication projects/ livelihood promotion projects/ tribal development projects.
• Candidate with work experience working in district-level positions in National Rural Livelihood Mission/ State Rural Livelihood Missions in Institution Building, Capacity Building, Social Inclusion, Social Development, and Livelihood promotion will be preferred.
• The candidate must have her/his own two-wheeler with a valid driving license as it is a field job.
