Job summary

SailPoint India, based in Pune, is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to design and implement intuitive, responsive web UI’s using Angular and TypeScript. You will collaborate with UX, participate in API contracts with microservices teams, and drive software quality through automated testing and robust metrics.

The role requires 8+ years of web UI development, strong JavaScript/CSS/HTML skills, and experience with Angular, NestJS, NgRx, and Webpack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional web UI development experience.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JSON, REST, AJAX, XML, HTTP.
• Experience with one or more JavaScript framework and tooling such as Angular, React, ExtJS, Webpack, NodeJS.
• Experience with automated UI testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, Karma, Protractor, Selenium, Jasmine).
• Knowledge of backend architecture and systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement intuitive, maintainable, responsive web application UI’s using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Collaborate with peers and UX team on UI and interaction designs.
• Consume supporting REST APIs and interact closely with microservices teams.
• Work with microservice teams to define API contracts.
• Instrument, maintain, and analyze tracking metrics to identify pain points and guide improvements.
• Respond to customer incidents and troubleshoot root cause of application issues.
• Own software quality through unit, integration, E2E tests and monitoring of releases.
• Contribute to platform architecture design and planning.
• Mentor other engineers and help them develop technical principles and discipline.
• Work with product management to provide technical input on features and delivery roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred, or relevant work experience
• 8+ years of professional software development experience creating cross-browser compatible web-based UIs
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JSON, REST, AJAX, XML, HTTP
• Experience with one or more JavaScript framework and tooling such as Angular, React, ExtJS, Webpack, NodeJS
• Experience with one or more Automated UI testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, Karma, Protractor, Selenium, Jasmine)
• Knowledge of backend architecture and systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, NgRx, NodeJS, and NestJS
• Agile/scrum development methodology
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
• Familiarity with commercial security applications/infrastructure products

What You Will Achieve (Your Milestones):

• Within 30 Days: Map our current UI architecture, take ownership of incident response workflows, and resolve initial customer UI bugs. You will dive into application telemetry to identify immediate UI pain points and propose targeted improvements.
• Within 60 Days: Ship major responsive Angular/TypeScript components to production. You will closely collaborate with our UX team on interaction designs and partner with Microservices teams to define strict, scalable REST API contracts.
• Within 90 Days: Own software quality from the front end. You will significantly increase automated UI test coverage (using frameworks like Cypress, Jest, or Karma) on your assigned IdentityNow modules, ensuring zero critical UI regressions on your releases.
• Within 6 Months & Beyond: Serve as a technical mentor to mid-level and junior engineers. You will work directly with Product Management to break down engineering work, create accurate estimates for quarterly epics, and lead frontend architecture planning sessions.
