Job summary

Rama Medicare in India is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care per hospital protocols and to monitor patients’ vital signs. You will assist doctors during exams and procedures, document accurately, and uphold infection-control standards.

Freshers with proper registration are welcome. Night and shift work, teamwork, and patient education are essential parts of the role at Rama Medicare.

Qualifications

• Qualified nursing degree and valid registration.
• Freshers with relevant qualification and valid registration may be considered.
• Good clinical and patient-care skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients as per hospital protocols.
• Monitor and record patients vital signs and clinical condition.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
• Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records and patient documentation.
• Monitor patients before and after procedures/surgeries and report any changes promptly.
• Ensure proper infection-control practices and maintain hygiene standards.
• Handle and maintain nursing equipment and ensure availability of essential supplies.
• Provide proper handover to the incoming shift staff.
• Educate patients and attendants regarding medication, treatment, diet, hygiene, and discharge instructions.
• Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, patient-safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing staff, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in emergency management.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards of nursing practice.
• Support quality improvement and patient-satisfaction initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience as a Staff Nurse in a hospital, medical college, or multispecialty hospital will be preferred.
• Freshers with relevant qualification and valid registration may also be considered.
• Good clinical and patient-care skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in shifts, including night shifts.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and handle emergency situations.
• Compassionate, disciplined, responsible, and patient-oriented approach.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hospital information systems will be an advantage.
