Job summary

Hlfppt Staff Nurse role involves delivering quality patient care, assisting the Medical Officer during diagnosis and treatment, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions to ensure safety.

We expect accurate record-keeping, strict infection control, and support with clinical tests, medicine distribution, stock management, and MIS reporting. Required qualifications include B.Sc. Nursing or GNM/ANM with valid State Nursing Council registration.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Nursing and/or GNM/ANM from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
• Experience in clinical settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Medical Officer and the team in smooth implementation of the project activities
• Registration of patients, assistance in clinical tests and medical procedures, administration of injections
• Distribution of medicines; maintenance of medicines and health care stocks & other reports/documents
• Prepare indents for supplies required for running MMC services
• Ensure prevention of waste, misuse & loss of medicines
• Check prescriptions to ensure safety and appropriateness
• Make sure medicines are stored properly and securely; provide information on dispensing
• Quality-check medications, equipment and other materials
• Perform MIS data entry and timely submission of reports and documents

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients, assisting Medical Officers during diagnosis and treatment, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, promoting health education, and maintaining accurate patient records while ensuring patient safety and infection control.

• Assist the Medical Officer and the team in smooth implementation of the project activities Registration of patients, assistance in clinical tests and medical procedures, administration of injections
• Distribution of medicines; Maintenance of proper stocks of medicines and health care products & other relevant reports & documents.
• Prepare indents for supplies required for the running of MMC services
• Ensuring prevention of waste, misuse & loss of medicines
• Check prescriptions to make sure there are no errors & that they are appropriate & safe for the individual patient
• Make sure medicines are stored appropriately and securely. Provide information on the dispensing of medicines
• Quality-check medications, equipment’s and other materials for example, intravenous medications
• Perform other tasks which may be assigned by the reporting manager from time to time
• Responsible for MIS Data entry and Timely submission of report and documents
• B.Sc. Nursing , General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)or ANM from a recognized institution.
• Valid registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
