Job summary

Hlfppt is seeking a Staff Nurse to support field health services in Assam. Under doctor supervision, you will provide preventive, promotive and curative care, conduct community health education, and coordinate with Anganwadi and ASHA workers.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with doctors and field staff for smooth project implementation
  • Support medical teams during outreach activities
  • Coordinate with Anganwadi and ASHA workers for service delivery
  • Provide preventive, promotive and curative care under supervision of doctor
  • Conduct sessions on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, RTI/STI, family planning and other health topics
  • Provide ANC/PNC checkups to beneficiaries
  • Train Community Health Volunteers in counseling and outreach activities
  • Manage MMU operations including record keeping and patient flow
  • Refer patients to higher facilities as needed and follow up
  • Maintain OPD registers, stock registers and reports
  • Enter patient data daily into MIS software
  • Submit monthly timesheets
  • Oversee project implementation and coordination with donors
  • Prepare MMU movement schedules and activity plans
  • Document technical, MIS, progress and field observation reports

Job description

Key Roles & Responsibilities for Staff Nurse:
  • Good liaising with doctor and other field staff
  • Assist to the doctor and field staff for smooth implementation of the project
  • Ensure support and work in coordination with local community workers such as Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers for effective service delivery when the MMU in the village
  • Under the supervision of the doctor rendering preventive, promotive and curative health care services
  • Responsible for taking individual and group sessions on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, RTI/STI, safe sex, family planning methods and other health related topic in community
  • To provide ANC and PNC checkup to the beneficiaries
  • Nurse shall also be responsible for orientation of Community Health Volunteers on counselling techniques and coordinate the outreach-based BCC and psychosocial support activities
  • Nurse would be responsible for management of MMU especially record keeping, management of the patient flow
  • She will refer the patients to nearest health facility for secondary level treatment and follow up
  • Will be responsible for maintaining the OPD register, stocks of medicines and health care products, stock register and other relevant reports and documents
  • Insure the data entry of all patients at MIS software at daily basis
  • Submission of the monthly time sheet to reporting manager
  • Responsible for overall implementation of the project and managing its technical
  • Operational including coordination with donor and other external stakeholders at the project area level
  • Prepare MMU movement schedule and ensure effective implementation of all the project activities
  • Prepare all reports and documentation related to the project, such as technical reports, MIS reports, progress reports, narrative reports, field observation and visit reports, collection and compilation of case studies and photographs, and process documentation of the project
