Job summary

Stryker Corporation in Bengaluru seeks a senior UI/UX designer to transform complex medical device workflows into intuitive interfaces. You will partner with product, engineering and usability teams to translate ambiguous problems into scalable design solutions.

  • Produce flow diagrams, wireframes, and storyboards for design systems.
  • Develop reusable design systems and component libraries for consistent product experiences.
  • Lead usability testing and leverage analytics to measure impact of design decisions.
  • Mentor junior designers and promote a strong UX culture.

What you will do:
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Partner directly with Divisional Designers, Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and executive stakeholders to advocate for user-centric solutions.
  • Take ambiguous, high-level business problems and translate them into intuitive, structured, and scalable design solutions.
  • Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, wire frames, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps.
  • Develop and maintain reusable design systems and component libraries, ensuring visual and functional consistency across the entire product ecosystem and facilitating seamless design handoffs to development.
  • Partner with Divisional Designer and Usability engineer to steer high-level user research and usability testing, leveraging both qualitative feedback and quantitative product analytics to measure the impact of design decisions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level designers, review their work to maintain high-quality standards, and champion a strong UX culture within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in communication design / Interaction design or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in communication design / Interaction design or equivalent.
  • 7 to 10 years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Ability to solve complex design problems and create user-friendly interfaces.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your visual design problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in Medical Device front-end development is a plus.

Work Flexibility Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
