Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Bengaluru seeks a Software Test Engineer/Senior Test Engineer with 5–9 years of experience in software testing, test automation, and OO programming. The role emphasizes Java Card and Global Platform compliance testing, test design, automation, and analysis for ID and Payment applications.

You will define test scenarios from specs, build test suites, and collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering to validate ID and payment solutions while driving quality and process

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of experience in software testing and OO programming
• Experience designing test scenarios and developing test suites for Java Card and Global Platform
• Proficient in test design methods and automation for feature-rich ID and payment apps
• Knowledge of ISO 7816-3, ISO14443, Java Card, Global Platform; cryptography and secure messaging is a plus
• Exposure to Agile Scrum is an advantage

Looking for a Software Test Engineer/Senior Test Engineer with 5 to 9 years of experience in software testing, test automation, and object-oriented programming. The role focuses on Java Card and Global Platform compliance testing, test design, automation, failure analysis, and working closely with Product Owners and Engineering teams on ID and Payment applications.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Shall be responsible for understanding all relevant technical specifications to define test scenarios
• Shall be responsible for developing test suites and reusable libraries for Java Card and Global Platform compliance
• Shall be responsible for test design, development and automation
• Shall be responsible for failure analysis and reporting
• Continuously build knowhow and share with the team members
• Work closely with Product Owner, Concept Engineer to understand the functional & non- functional requirements of various ID and Payment applications

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Experience in software testing methodologies
• 5 to 9 years of experience in OO programming (C#.NET/C++/Java)
• Experience of using formal techniques for Software test design such as orthogonal arrays, boundary value analysis, Decision Tables, Equivalence partitioning, state transitions, use cases, performance and robustness
• Design test specifications from standard specifications
• Sound knowledge of Black box testing with Automation
• Experience in issue reporting and resolution by interacting with all stakeholders
• Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies will be an added advantage
• Prior experience in implementing standard test specification will be an added advantage
• Shall be a quick learner. Good in quick understanding technical standards and specifications Shall possess good analytical skills and be an excellent problem solver
• Experience of GP2.2 and GP2.3 Test specification and Test Implementation
• Solid knowledge in standards like ISO 7816-3 (T=0, T=CL), ISO14443, Global Platform, Java Card,
• Knowledge of EMV, ICAO specification is add on
• Knowledge of smart card applications (Ex: Payment e-Passport, e-Driving License) is add on
• Knowledge of cryptography, authentication and secure messaging schemes
