Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a firmware engineer to design and develop firmware for power electronic converters and IO interface modules in its Bengaluru team. The role emphasizes on-board and system debugging, collaboration with Electrical engineers, and device selection from datasheets for microcontrollers.

Job description

To be part of the team working on firmware development of power electronic converters and I/O interface modules. Main responsibilities include firmware development and testing.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for design and development of firmware on Power electronic converter modules
• Debug on board and in system issues and provide resolution
• Understanding of basic circuit schematics for good handshaking with Electrical engineers
• Datasheet and device comparison of standard micro controllers
• Understanding of communication protocols like CAN, I2C, SPI etc.

Skills & Experience Required

• BE with power electronics focus
• Minimum of 8-15 years of Industrial or Lab experience.
• Experience with C and Assembly programming language.
• Experience on communication protocols CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Modbus etc.
• Converting of messages from CAN to Ethernet, CAN to Modbus and vice versa.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
• Knowledge of Power Supply, UPS Systems, Drives, SMRs
• Knowledge of Digital circuit, Analog circuit, ADC, DACs, OPamps, microprocessors, micro controllers & DSPs etc
