Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in India is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to drive next-generation MCU and embedded platforms, blending traditional RTL design with AI/ML driven automation to enhance PPA. You will contribute to design, verification, and integration across teams to accelerate silicon bring-up.

The role requires strong hands-on experience in RTL, MCUs, AMBA protocols, low-power design, and scripting, with a track record of delivering complex digital blocks in a multi-project environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on digital design experience.
• Proficient in Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL development.
• Strong MCU/MPU architecture understanding.
• Experience with AMBA protocols and clock-domain crossing.
• Familiarity with Linux, scripting, and AI/ML concepts.
• Experience in synthesis, STA, and low-power design.
• Exposure to FPGA prototyping or emulation.
• Ability to collaborate across architecture, verification, and validation teams.

Responsibilities

The candidate will contribute to RTL design, microarchitecture development, IP integration, and design optimization while utilizing AI-assisted methodologies to improve quality, productivity, power, performance, and area (PPA).

This role combines traditional digital design expertise with emerging AI/ML-driven design automation, intelligent debug, design space exploration, and agentic engineering workflows.

• AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB).
• Clock-domain crossing and reset architectures.
• Low-power design methodologies.
• Synthesis and static timing analysis.
• FPGA prototyping and emulation.
• Linux development environment.
• Scripting in Python, Perl, or Tcl.
