Qualifications

• B.Arch & Masters in Urban Design.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design & development processes.
• Advanced MS Office & presentation software skills.
• Proficiency in CAD drawings with speed and accuracy.
• Experience with GIS and allied services.

Responsibilities

• Understand project processes as defined by Team Leader.
• Translate vision/goals into development strategies from conception to development.
• Collaborate with team including planners, urban designers, engineers, consultants, architects and stakeholders.
• Assess development controls and regulations considering political, environmental, social, economic and spatial factors.
• Produce drawings and technical schematics using appropriate software.
• Communicate clearly to negotiate and influence project decisions.
• Ensure policies and guidance are followed by the team.
• Create presentations, drawings, working drawings and reports.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POSITION SR. URBAN DESIGNER

1: SR. URBAN DESIGNER

Job Type : Full Time

Experience : 6-7 Years

Responsibilities:

• Understand the Process formulated for projects as made by the Team Leader.
• Understand the Vision, Goals and Objectives and formulate strategies from Conception to Development stage
• Work under your own initiative and direction, as part of a large and multi skilled team, including Planners, Urban Designers, and Infrastructure Engineers, Consultants, and Architects, local government, building contractors, material suppliers and stake holders.
• Understand the needs of the project and create Benchmarks through research and analysis You will consider Development controls and Regulations, political, environmental, social, economic, spatial, psychological and physical factors
• Create drawings using artistic or graphic skills, converting vision into a conceptual schemes and technical drawing, using appropriate programs and software.
• Use your communication skills, empathy and knowledge to negotiate with and influence people to make better informed decisions.
• Work with the wider Team to ensure policies and guidance are followed.
• Create Presentations, Drawings, Working Drawings, and Reports

Skills Must Have:

• Microsoft Office Skills- Advanced Knowledge of Design and Presentation Software, Knowledge about allied services, thorough knowledge of architectural design & development processes, materials, detailing etc., Speed and accuracy in CAD drawings, knowledge about GIS.
