Job summary

Modern Spaaces seeks an experienced architect to lead in-house design development, documentation, and project coordination for diverse projects. The role emphasizes creating elegant, cost-effective design solutions and coordinating with consultants to uphold design intent.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, regulatory compliance, and proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Lumion, Excel, and Word.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of architectural experience preferably within the hiring firms field.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and building systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Lumion, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Design Development: Develop concept and detailed designs aligned with project and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation: Prepare construction docs, specs, and 3D views; ensure accuracy and compliance with codes.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors; conduct site visits and design reviews.
• Technical Support: Research design trends and materials; maintain design standards and provide support to project teams.

Job description

Design Development (In-House Projects)-

• Develop concept and detailed designs aligned with project and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare construction documentation drawings, specifications, and 3D views.
• Coordinate with team leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Optimize designs for quality and cost-effectiveness.

Documentation & Compliance-

• Ensure design documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with codes and approvals.
• Liaise with authorities for permits and regulatory clearances.

Project Coordination (Consultant Projects)-

• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to uphold design intent.
• Conduct site visits, resolve RFIs, and participate in design reviews.
• Advocate for sustainable and innovative design practices.

Technical Support-

• Research design trends, materials, and technologies.
• Maintain design standards and provide technical support to project teams.
