FLSmidth Cement A/S in Chennai invites a Senior Technical Specialist for Pfister Equipment to join our 24x7 Global Support Team. You will manage day-to-day requests from customers and internal stakeholders related to Fuller Cement Feeding Dosing products, providing timely, SLA-driven technical resolution.

Responsibilities include on-site and remote support, training customers on new features, collaborating with RD teams, performing remote software maintenance, and coordinating warranty parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation.
• 6–8 years hands-on Pfister rotor feeders experience at process plants.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC hardware and industrial communication protocols ( PROFIBUS, PROFINET, MODBUS ).
• Knowledge of Ethernet networks, VLAN concepts, and industrial IT basics.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% domestically and internationally.

Job Summary

Senior Technical Specialist - Pfister Equipment

Role

Together with the Support lead in Germany, you will be part of our 24x7 Global Support Team and Managing the direct day-to-day requests received from various customers and internal stake holders related to Fuller Cement Feeding Dosing products (Pfister).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customer and ensure timely response to issues with proper resolution within defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) time meeting customer satisfaction.
• Passionate to support customex7 as per shift roaster, it includes night shift.
• Daily tracking and follow-up with customer, short training to customer during remote support on new features.
• Collaborate internally with RD next level support teams and cross functional teams to resolve the issue.
• Carryout Remote Software Maintenance as per schedules. Generating sales leads and providing technical assistance to Digital products regional sales team.
• Visiting customer sites to carryout Training, Preventive maintenance, Emergency visit, short commissioning support with short notice.
• Availability to travel in India and abroad approximate 20 to 30% per annum.
• Handle and place Warranty and internal orders for parts and hours

What you bring

• 6 to 8 years of solid experience working hands on with Pfister rotor feeders at any process plants, Cement / Mining plant working is plus.
• Experience in solving PLC hardware, Intelligent MCC software problems, knowledge in languages LAD, FBD, STL, ST, SFC from major brands Rockwell / Siemens / Schneider / ABB.
• Experience in troubleshooting industrial communication protocols PROFIBUS, DEVICE NET, CONTROL NET MODBUS, ETHERNET TCP/IP, PROFI NET, HART, PROFIBUS-PA must, additional protocols are plus.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot the Ethernet networks issues. Knowledge on Segmentation, VLAN concepts etc
• Ability to understand issues through email, phone and remote support chat and acknowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in rapidly changing environments.
• Experience in latest Windows operating system to manage the servers, client station.
• Should be a team player with collaborative skills.
• Knowledge about Oracle/SAP is a plus.

Education Qualification

• Bachelor / Diploma engineering in Electrical / Electronics Communication / Instrumentation.
• Training or Certifications in OT Security, Networking related courses is a plus.
