Job summary

Fuller Technologies is seeking an Advanced Process Control Engineer to join our 24x7 Remote Support Center. You will remotely monitor, support, and optimize APC systems for Cement and Mining globally, with travel to local sites as required.

The candidate will fine-tune MPC/Fuzzy/PID controllers, work on DCS/PLC integrations, and ensure quick resolutions of issues while maintaining strong customer relationships. Shift work, including nights, is expected.

Qualifications

• BE/Diploma in Chemical, Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation.
• 3+ years of experience in advanced process control, cement or mining process optimization/automation.
• Knowledge of APC tools like MPC, neural networks and fuzzy logic is advantageous.
• Experience with industrial computing, networking, OPC and ODBC/SQL data communications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer issues (tickets/incidents) promptly and resolve them.
• Maintain professional customer relationships and provide remote support for ECS/ProcessExpert APC toolbox.
• Fine-tune controllers (MPC/Fuzzy/PID) and implement innovative ideas to improve plant productivity.
• Conduct domestic/global preventive maintenance visits, emergency visits and onsite training/commissioning as needed.
• Track and manage incidents in CRM and share knowledge with the team.
• Provide remote adhoc support, remote maintenance and assist in sales leads generation.

About the role

You will be part of our 24x7 Remote Support Center Team to remotely monitor, support and improve Advanced Process Control optimization systems in Mining and Cement around the world. They will also be expected to travel to local sites to do the same.

Your Responsibilities :

• To ensure timely response to customer issues (Tickets / Incidents) with proper resolution in short timeline.
• Maintain professional customer relationship and providing remote support to maintain the healthiness of ECS/ProcessExpert® APC Toolbox.
• Fine tuning of controllers in MPC/Fuzzy/PID and implementing innovative technical ideas with process knowledge to improve plant productivity.
• Responsible for Domestic and Global Preventive Maintenance visits, Emergency visits & Onsite Training / Commissioning, per-diem visits.
• Responsible for tracking, managing incidents in CRM & knowledge sharing with team members.
• Responsible for Remote adhoc support, Remote maintenance, Sales leads generation etc.,
• Work in Shifts is must (Incl. Night shifts)
• Passionate to support customers 24x7.
• Should be a team player.

You bring

• BE / Diploma (Chemical /Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation)
• 3 or more years of experience in related field, Advanced Process Control, Cement or Mining Process Optimization/Industry, Automation and Controls.
• Knowledge in Advanced Process Control tools like MPC, Neural networks, Fuzzy Logic etc. will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in Advanced Cement/Minerals Process Control will be preferred.
• Willingness to learn new automation products within short span of time.
• Strong interest in automation, process control and advanced model-predictive applications
• Experience with industrial computing, networking, OPC and ODBC/SQL data communications
• Experience with DCS and/or PLC configuration, especially in the context of integration with external applications
• Exposure to advanced process control implementation
• Relevant Site installation and commissioning experience.
• Good Analytical thinking, Systematic working and a high-quality focus.
• Knowledge in Machine Learning models, python programing skills will be an added advantage
• Knowledge in PLC programming and System level troubleshooting skills will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills (since there will be a lot of contact with various customers around the world).
• Very committed and self-motivated.
