Job summary

VentureSoft Global, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to drive new system implementations and provide expert Level 3 support. You will manage change requests, prepare change management plans, and ensure architectural approvals across cloud services.

You will engage clients on evolving requirements, drive automation from design to deployment, and enforce information security as per policy. A strong automation and cloud background is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in CS/Electronics or related field.
• Bachelors/Master’s degrees in CS/Electronics or IT-related fields.
• Experience with IT infrastructure and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and scripting abilities.

Responsibilities

Job Description

In this role as Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for new system implementations, providing Level 3 technical support, and resolving client incidents promptly. Managing change requests, preparing change management plans, and ensuring architectural approval. You will engage clients on evolving requirements, leverage VentureSoft's cloud portfolio, drive automation from design to deployment, and enforce robust information security measures per company policy.

Responsibilities:

• Newimplementations – internal or external as may be required from time to time.
• Provide Level 3 Technical supportto all clients that the candidate may be associated with and resolve clientincidents and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Handle requests for new implementations/ change requests in the given environment. Assist in preparing ChangeManagement plan including changes to architecture or design of existing systemsand ensuring the same is approved by Solution / Sr. Solution Architects
• Should learn VentureSoftcloud service portfolio and should have the ability to engage with clients onnew requirements that may crop up from time to time.
• Assist in automation activitieswhere-ever possible from design through development and deployment
• All theInformation Security measures to be prioritized, comprehended, implemented andenforced as per the company Information Security Policy
  

Requirements

Key Skills Required:

Should have Installation, Administration & Troubleshootingexperience in :

• Basic understanding of concepts like Routing,Load Balancing, Redundancy, Disaster Recovery, VPN, Firewalls, etc.
• Core infrastructure components such as DNS,DHCP, Active Directory(AD), AD Group Policies, LDAP, LDAP Integration,Exchange, E-Mail Servers such as postfix, sendmail etc.
• VMware or any other virtualization platformssuch as VirtualBox / KVM etc
• Application Middleware platforms such asApache, Tomcat, IIS, NGINX, NodeJS etc.
• Advanced DB Implementation skills such as DBclustering, DB Failover
  
• Should have hands-on administration experience with at-least one CloudPlatforms such as AWS or Azure
• Should be able to provision, administer and troubleshoot thefoundational services of Cloud Platforms for networking, compute and storage,in addition to provisioning and managing Cloud Managed Services such as ManagedDatabases, Caching Engines, Load Balancers.
• Experience with private cloud platforms such as Openstack, Cloudstackis an added advantage

Automation Skills Expected:

• Should have automation skills with either Bash,Powershell, Perl, Python.
• Should have experience with command line or APIintegration with Cloud Service Provider APIs
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef,Puppet, Ansible will be an added advantage

Other Skills:

• Required to have good communication skills -both written and verbal
• Should be able to work under high pressureenvironment with flexible work timings
• Should have at-least 2+ years of supportexperience in multi-client or multi-platform environments
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodology anadvantage

Education Qualifications:

Candidate should be either a

• Diploma in Computer Science / Electronics
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Electronics (B.Sc. / B.E.)
• Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
• Masters of Computer Applications (MCA)

At least one of the followingcertifications are mandatory

• AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate

The following certifications would be anadded advantage:
