Base pay range
Senior System Analyst is an operations support system (OSS) specialist who often works under the Operations Manager and performs any duties needed for smooth business operations. These tasks may involve delegating or communicating information to other parties. The Senior System Analyst often acts as a trainer for new starters and ensures they take ownership of their roles. Any operational problems must be reported to the inline manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve operational problems within defined schedules and service level agreements
- Analyze root causes of operational malfunctions and provide resolutions
- Handle escalated issues and follow-up on outstanding issues promptly
- Develop preventive measures and document issue resolution procedures
- Manage job calendars and flows to ensure timely completion
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Monitor system operations and troubleshoot problems
- Manage application tools and monitor repair activities
- Maintain daily logs of operational issues and maintenance activities
- Contribute to business meetings and report on issue status
- Develop support plans to prioritize and resolve multiple issues
- Address customer issues promptly and accurately
- Perform quality control on created and loaded IOTs
- Create IOT load files for validation (Standard, Discounted, EU regulated)
- Implement IOTs and monitor end dates on Discounted IOTs
- Handle mediation rejections for TAPOUT creation customers
- Manage TAP halted files (including Inspection Mode)
- Perform TAPOUT rerating
- Support Data Clearing issues at DCH level 1
- UAT Testing
- System Monitoring
- Handle RAPIN and RAP CDR corrections/Recycling
- Manage AA14/OpData
- Ensure DCH configurations are current (Industry, Local/TAP currency, MCCMNC, IAC, CC/NDC, Tax)
- Manage BID including emergency announcements (TD38)
- Handle CDR modifications or filtering as required
- Set up agreements (Voice/SMS, data, CAMEL)
- Handle OIR and load into DCH during migration
- Manage agreements with NRTRDE partners
- Handle Halted NRT files
- Implement new customers and monitor NRTRDE activities
- Set up wholesale rerating
- Create new accounts, manage access rights and passwords
- Configure MVNO
- Review user application access and document processes
Requirements
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
- 3-5 years experience in Engineering, Telecom, or IT
- Understanding of UNIX, FTP/SFTP
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of Telecommunications and wireless technologies
- Sound decision-making skills
- Strong written communication
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas
- Self-motivated, organized personality
- Understanding of technical standards (TD.57), IT procedures, tariff plans, RAP process
- Experience with trouble ticketing systems
- Duties performed with minimal supervision
