Job summary

Magna Electronics in Bengaluru is seeking a talented Embedded Radar Engineer to join our team focused on automotive radar systems. You will work with FMCW radar concepts, MMIC antennas, and ADAS features to advance our next-generation electronic systems.

You will collaborate across embedded software, hardware integration, and validation, using CAPL scripting, Lauterbach TRACE32, TI Debugger, CAN FD, Ethernet, and industry-standard V-model processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded software testing and debugging.
• Familiarity with automotive radar and ADAS features.
• Hands-on with V-Model development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of FMCW radar systems, RF fundamentals, and automotive radar applications.
• Knowledge of MMIC concepts including antenna configurations, power back-off techniques, and waveform concepts.
• Familiarity with ADAS features such as BSM, LCA and CTA.
• Understanding of blockage detection and interference mitigation.
• Good understanding of microcontroller architecture and embedded systems concepts.
• Experience with embedded software testing and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with Software V-Model (V-Cycle).
• Proficiency in Lauterbach Trace32 and TI Debugger.
• Strong working experience with CAN FD, Ethernet.
• Knowledge of UART and RS232.
• Strong proficiency in CAPL scripting.
• Basic knowledge of C programming.
• Python knowledge is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience with CANoe.
• Familiarity with GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Experience with Jira, Codebeamer and CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintains safe work practices, complies with Magna H&S requirements.
