Job summary

Jobitus is seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage the stores and warehouse operations at the plant. The role includes overseeing receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of materials, and maintaining inventory of engineering spares, raw materials, and consumables.

The candidate will develop inventory control strategies, monitor ERP records, and coordinate with Purchase, Production, Maintenance, Accounts, and vendors to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing stores and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of receiving, inspection, storage, and issue of materials.
• Experience with ERP systems and stock reconciliation.
• Ability to develop inventory control strategies.
• Experience with MS Office and MIS reporting.
• Ability to supervise store staff and coordinate with departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall stores and warehouse operations of the plant.
• Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, and issue of materials.
• Manage inventory of critical engineering spares, mechanical and electrical items, raw materials, and consumables.
• Develop inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Monitor GRN, material issue slips, purchase orders, invoices, and stock registers.
• Ensure regular physical stock verification and reconciliation with ERP records.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Maintenance, Accounts, and vendors.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and surplus inventory.
• Establish procedures for material handling, storage, identification, and traceability.
• Prepare inventory reports, stock statements, and MIS for management.
• Lead, train, and supervise store officers, storekeepers, and warehouse staff.
• Ensure compliance with internal audits, safety standards, and 5S practices.
