Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Bengaluru is seeking a senior Test Engineer with 10+ years of hardware and software experience in wafer sort and final test for PMICs, temperature sensors and I3C devices. You will contribute to test strategy, development of characterization programs, and collaboration with design and production teams to ensure quality and yield.

Preferred candidates have lead experience, strong scripting in C++, Python, and exposure to ATE platforms (Advantest, SPEA, Cohu, Teradyne).

Qualifications

• Test Engineer with 10+ years developing hardware and software at wafer sort and final test for PMIC, Temp Sensors and I3C products.
• Test Lead experience preferred.
• Experience using I2C, I3C, and SPI protocols and trim implementations.
• Characterization test program and hardware development experience.
• Production test program and hardware development experience.
• Strong knowledge of analog test techniques.
• Data analysis using Spotfire, dataPower or equivalent tools.
• Experience with lab equipment and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Renesas' 'India For India' is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with design/systems teams to understand specifications
• Generate test plan, create test and char program, design ATE hardware interface boards
• Debug characterizing silicon on ATE, correlate results with bench data
• Analyse silicon results, supporting failure analysis tasks
• Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues; optimize test time
• Work with production team to release products to volume production
• Test strategy definition and implementation for new Power/Analog products
• ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test hardware and software
• Silicon qualification& characterization including qual hardware development
• Comprehensive device debugging, design validation and failure analysis
• Drive for robust and cost-effective test solutions while being accountable for product quality

Test Engineer with 10+ Years experience developing hardware and software at Wafer Sort and Final Test for PMIC, Temp Sensors and I3C products.

Test Lead experience preferred.

10+ Years of experience on mFLEX, Advantest 93K, SPEA , Cohu DiamondX, Teradyne Eagle or equivalent analog ATE (iFlex, LTX, VLCT), although Cohu experience is preferred and is a differentiator

Experience using I2C, I3C, and SPI protocol as well as trim implementations for power IC products

Characterization test program and hardware development experience, Production test program and hardware development experience

Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices and circuits, and Analog test techniques

Data analysis skills using Spotfire, dataPower or equivalent tool based on STDF

Experienced with various lab equipment such as scopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, loads etc.

Experience with product engineering activities such as yield improvement and test time reduction

Strong understanding of the IC product development process, from concept to volume production

Preferred qualifications:

• Experienced with test program and hardware offload to OSATs
• Proficiency in programming/scripting in C++, Python, C#
• Labview, Teststand experience
• Revision control tools experience: Subversion, Git
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
