Renesas Electronics India Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Manager-Software Development Engineer in Test to lead and scale the SW QA organization across multiple power product lines in a SoC context.

You will provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership, drive test automation, and ensure fast delivery to customers while maintaining high-quality software in our digital power control platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 14+ years’ software test design experience, including 5+ years in management.

Job Description

Renesas Bangalore , software team is seeking a Senior Manager-Software Development Engineer in Test, who is excited about working within a SoC development team to lead and scale our SW QA organization supporting several power product lines. This position requires providing strategic, operational, and technical leadership across our QA team ensuring robust test automation and scalability of our testing infrastructure to handle multiple product lines simultaneously while ensuring speed of delivery to end customers. You will develop and execute a quality strategy that drives measurable improvement in software reliability while partnering closely with product definition requirements, applications, and field teams to deliver best-of-kind software in our field. This is an opportunity to join an industry leading Digital Power IC development team with Renesas Electronics Power Business Unit covering multiple product lines that exceed $1B in annual revenue. As part of one of Renesas’s most prominent Power Management Groups, you will be responsible for QA of Software that supports leading datacenter operators and infrastructure hardware developers as they deploy our digital power control devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, scale, and inspire SW QA teams fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Define quality KPIs and an automation roadmap leveraging testing frameworks and AI where applicable
• Oversee resource planning, hiring, and management of HW assets used as part of SW and system testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering.
• 14+ years’ experience in Software Test Design required, including a minimum of 5 years as a manager.
• Must have highly developed written and verbal cross‑functional communication skills.
• Proven track record of scaling QA teams including balancing tactical and strategic goals navigating balancing of manual and automated testing.
• Deep expertise working with Squish, Selenium, or other test automation framework.
• Technical expertise in Python, Java or other modern object‑oriented language.
• Familiarity with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with electronics is highly desired as our software runs on dedicated hardware as part of a larger system.
