Job summary

Verisk India is seeking a QA professional to join in testing solutions for Insurance/Reinsurance risk modeling. You will test software in an Agile environment, analyze requirements, and create test plans and cases to validate results.

This role emphasizes automation, collaboration with global teams, and ramping up new hires. You will contribute to robust acceptance and regression testing and document artifacts to support quality across Verisk's risk analytics platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent.
• 4–6 years in an Agile software development team.
• Knowledge of OOP languages such as C#, C++, Java, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, R, Python and Excel for data handling.

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join us in testing solutions for Insurance/Reinsurance risk modeling. You will be responsible for testing the software in an agile environment. We are looking for a candidate who can comprehend new technologies, come up to speed quickly and adapt to evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements and design specifications & create test plans and test cases, execute & validate the test results.
• Automate test cases, debug and fix automation issues.
• Create a robust acceptance & regression testing repository.
• Discover, debug, document and verify software anomalies.
• Document test artifacts; evaluate testing results and track them using internal tools/processes.
• Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner.
• Address queries from Product Management, Software Development Group and Client Servicing team’s w.r.t our software products in a timely manner.
• Identify QA and testing issues, and generate solutions for process improvement
• Contribute to the training of new hires & ramping them up to speed.
• Work collaboratively with a global team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
• Minimum 4 - 6 Years’ experience working in an Agile software development team.
• Knowledge of C#, C++, Java or any other object-oriented programming language.
• Knowledge & hands-on-experience of data management tools including but not limited to SQL/R/Python and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in working with global teams.
