Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking a Scrum Master to lead Agile practices in an IT product environment, driving smooth delivery of features and coordinating with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps.

The role demands strong Agile leadership, technical awareness, project and release management, and the ability to bridge communication between diverse teams to ensure timely, high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master in IT product companies.
• Prior technical background (Developer, QA, or DevOps) is highly desirable.
• Experience in project management and release management activities within Agile environments.
• Scrum Master Certification.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, perform end-to-end impact analysis, and reduce ambiguity by working with Product Owners and Business Analysts.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering Leads to identify technical dependencies and risks.
• Guide teams in adopting CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Track Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, release predictability) and report progress to stakeholders.
• Identify and remove impediments, including technical blockers.
• Mentor team members on Agile practices and technical collaboration.
• Perform project management activities including scope definition, resource planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Own release management activities: coordinate release planning, ensure compliance with release checklists, manage deployment schedules, and communicate release status to stakeholders.
• Work with Release Managers and DevOps teams to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality product releases.
• Drive continuous improvement in both process and technical practices.

Job Requirements And Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master in IT product companies.

Technical Skills (Must-Have)

• Advanced proficiency in Agile tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with APIs, Microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including monitoring tools, build automation, and release management.
• Ability to interpret Agile metrics and use data to drive improvements.
• Awareness of secure coding practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
