Charles Schwab India invites experienced software engineers to join our Hyderabad team. You will contribute to developing enterprise-strength software using .NET/C#, modern containerized platforms, and AI-assisted tooling. You will collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for financial services.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of development using a Microsoft technology stack, including .NET and C# with exposure to financial industry
• 2+ years of experience with containerized platform such as PCF
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming concepts, including algorithms and data structures; unit and integration tests
• Experience with scripting languages and efficient storage and retrieval techniques
• Exposure to GitHub, Jira, Rally
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
• Commitment to continuous learning and AI capabilities in software development

What you have

Required Skills

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of development using a Microsoft technology stack, including .NET and C# with exposure to financial industry
• 2+ years of experience with containerized platform such as Pivotal Cloud foundry (PCF)
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming concepts, including algorithms and data structures. Strong experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with scripting languages and efficient storage and retrieval techniques
• Exposure in Tools such as GitHub, Jira, Rally.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or equivalent) to improve productivity, code quality, and development efficiency within the SDLC.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI concepts and how to apply them responsibly in day-to-day engineering workflows, including code generation, refactoring, documentation, and test support.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in AI-augmented development environments, leveraging AI tools while maintaining strong engineering judgment, code reviews, and quality standards.
• Experience applying automation and AI-driven approaches to improve existing systems, workflows, or operational processes.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging AI capabilities, tooling, and industry best practices relevant to software development and system modernization.
• Experience with Messaging technologies such as kafka/MQ Some exposure/knowledge of AI & AI based automation (exposure to GitHub Copilot preferred along with some Python skills)
• Proven track record of delivering on the design & development of complex, enterprise-level software systems and in providing exemplary support post-deployment/Production Support & Remediation.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience as a developer on an agile scrum team is a plus.
