Charles Schwab India is expanding its Hyderabad engineering team to build and scale backend services for financial platforms. The role demands 10+ years of C#/.NET backend experience, leadership of development teams, and strong API-first design.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years backend development in C#/.NET.
- 5+ years leading a development team delivering complex projects.
- Strong API-first design, OpenAPI, and system integration experience.
- Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, Confluent, Azure Event Hubs, RabbitMQ, or similar.
- Expert in .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, UML, and enterprise web solutions using Angular/React, SQL/No-SQL.
- Proficient in web tech (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, Bootstrap) and REST-based services.
- Solid understanding of cloud native, microservices, SOA, and design patterns.
- Agile methodologies and strong stakeholder communication.
- Security best practices and compliance awareness throughout SDLC.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of solid backend development experience in C#/.Net
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a development team and successfully delivering complex projects within timelines
- Strong understanding of API-first development, service contracts, OpenAPI specifications, and system integration patterns.
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architecture using Kafka, Confluent, Azure Event Hubs, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
- Expert with frameworks such as .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET and understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language)
- Strong experience in building enterprise scale web solutions based upon n-tier architecture using open-source technologies (Angular / React), Microsoft Web API, and SQL / No-SQL Databases.
- Strong experience and demonstrate proficiency in web-based technologies such as Angular/React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, Backbone, Bootstrap, Node or similar
- Expert in object-oriented design, SOA, design patterns, development, implementation and maintenance.
- Exceptional experience designing and implementing REST based Web Service API(s) in a transaction processing environment.
- Develop solutions and coordinates with teams to enhance application support
- Enhance processes to ensure legal and ethical data compliance
- Skilled in breaking down epics into stories and engaging with stakeholders.
- Strong experience in Cloud Native Applications and Micro Services Architecture
- Good understanding of latest Architecture and Development Standards, Guidelines and SOLID principles
- You should be comfortable in a fast-paced customer-focused environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
- Self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
- Ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, cost effective, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for composing and delivering technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various levels of technical and non-technical management.
- Serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor for engineering teams.
- Coach and mentor engineers while promoting high standards for software design, code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of modern CI/CD platforms, GitHub Actions, automated deployments, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Familiarity with observability practices including logging, monitoring, tracing, and operational analytics.
- Experience implementing security best practices, secure coding standards, and compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI and AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-driven code analysis, automated documentation and testing tools) to improve engineering efficiency and delivery outcomes.
- Applies analytical thinking to abstract factors, guides outcomes, and sets priorities
- Consistently maintains clear, open communication to enhance collaboration with others
