Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Commerce, Economics, or Finance with MBA preferred.
• Advanced certifications CPSM and CSCP strengthen strategic sourcing expertise.
• Experience in category management, supplier selection, and contract governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies across IT, indirect, and services.
• Identify suppliers via RFx, negotiate contracts, and manage SLAs and KPIs.
• Lead cost savings initiatives and provide cost-benefit analyses.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with policies and ESG standards.
• Draft and manage supplier contracts, renewals, and repository governance.
• Collaborate with operations, legal, finance, and engineering stakeholders.

Job Description

1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories (e.g., IT, indirect, raw materials, services). Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and spend data to identify sourcing opportunities. Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and align sourcing plans with business needs.
2. Supplier Selection & Management Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers through RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) processes. Negotiate contracts, pricing, service levels, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal value. Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships; monitor performance and resolve issues.
3. Cost Optimization & Value Delivery Drive cost-saving initiatives through competitive sourcing, value engineering, or process improvements. Track and report on cost savings, supplier performance metrics, and contract compliance. Support total cost of ownership (TCO) and cost-benefit analyses.
4. Risk & Compliance Management Ensure supplier and sourcing activities comply with internal policies, ethics standards, and regulatory requirements. Assess and manage risks in supplier base (e.g., financial stability, geopolitical, ESG). Implement and maintain procurement controls and audit readiness.
5. Contract & Vendor Management Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts in collaboration with legal and compliance teams. Ensure contract terms are adhered to, including service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and penalties. Maintain an up-to-date contract repository and manage renewals and expirations.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with internal departments like operations, legal, finance, and engineering to support sourcing needs. Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders for supplier selection and procurement strategy. Facilitate cross-functional sourcing initiatives and governance reviews.
7. Process Improvement & Automation Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements in sourcing workflows. Leverage e-sourcing tools and procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer). Support digital transformation initiatives and supplier portal implementations.
8. Data Analysis & Reporting Use data analytics to drive insights into spend, supplier performance, and market trends. Generate reports for procurement performance, savings, and sourcing pipeline. Support sustainability and diversity reporting as applicable.
9. Team Leadership (Senior Manager role) Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals or category buyers. Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster continuous learning and development. Promote a culture of ethical sourcing, cost discipline, and innovation.
