Job summary

Genpact is seeking a Sr. Specialist - Supply Chain - Procurement in Bengaluru to lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and RFX processes across key categories.

You will collaborate with legal, finance and operations to optimize total cost of ownership and ensure compliant procurement practices. Ideal candidates bring strong analytics, negotiations, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in SAP, Ariba, Coupa and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce, economics, finance or related field.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience with RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing Lead sourcing initiatives for key categories, projects, or business units. Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess risks, and develop sourcing strategies.
• Supplier Selection & Management identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers based on capability, cost, quality, and service. Negotiate contracts and pricing to optimize TCO.
• RFX Process Management Lead end-to-end RFI, RFP, RFQ processes. Analyze proposals and support final selection with data-driven insights.
• Contract & Compliance Management Collaborate with legal to draft and finalize supplier contracts; ensure policy adherence.
• Cost Savings & Value Delivery Identify and implement saving opportunities; track and report benefits to leadership.
• Stakeholder Engagement Conduct regular meetings with business units; provide sourcing expertise and market insights.
• Data & Spend Analytics Analyze spend data and supplier performance; maintain procurement dashboards (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Power BI).
• Process Improvement & Automation Drive improvements in sourcing processes and tools; maintain SOPs.

Job Description

• Strategic Sourcing Lead sourcing initiatives for key categories, projects, or business units. Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, assess risks, and develop sourcing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to align sourcing goals with business needs.
• Supplier Selection & Management Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers based on capability, cost, quality, and service. Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO). Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and support supplier development initiatives.
• RFX Process Management Lead and manage end-to-end Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes. Analyze proposals, evaluate supplier capabilities, and support final selection with data-driven insights. Ensure sourcing documentation and bid evaluations comply with internal policies.
• Contract & Compliance Management Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to draft, review, and finalize supplier contracts. Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintain and update contract records and sourcing documentation in procurement systems.
• Cost Savings & Value Delivery Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through negotiation, consolidation, or alternative sourcing. Track and report on savings and value contributions to business leadership. Support budgeting and spend analysis activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement Act as a sourcing business partner to internal stakeholders by understanding requirements and aligning sourcing strategies accordingly. Conduct regular meetings with business units to gather feedback, address issues, and share sourcing plans. Provide sourcing expertise and market insights to support decision-making.
• Data & Spend Analytics Analyze historical spend data and supplier performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Maintain and utilize procurement dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Power BI).
• Process Improvement & Automation Identify and drive improvements in sourcing processes, systems, and policies to increase efficiency and compliance. Support the implementation of digital sourcing tools and e-sourcing platforms. Keep sourcing SOPs and templates updated.
