Job summary

BMC Helix-based Solution Engineer role based in Mumbai or Bangalore to work closely with Sales teams and enterprise customers to identify business challenges and position BMC Helix solutions that best address their needs. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role that may require short-duration travel within India and occasional international travel based on business needs.

The primary focus is Solution Engineering.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AIOps, Monitoring, Automation or enterprise software.
• Experience in a Solution Engineer, Pre-Sales, or customer-facing technical role
• Strong ability to lead technical discoveries, demos, PoVs, and value-based discussions
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and solution support throughout the sales cycle for enterprise opportunities
• Deliver and customise solution presentations, product demos, and PoV engagements
• Articulate business value, use cases, and solution differentiation to customers
• Participate in customer and sales calls to manage technical discussions and simplify requirements
• Design scalable and innovative solutions aligned to complex customer needs
• Define and manage Proof of Value (PoV) success criteria, environments (SaaS or On Prem), and execution
• Review RFPs and provide consultative guidance on solution fit and bid decisions
• Act as a trusted customer advocate, collaborating with Sales, Partners, and internal teams
• Support webinars, tradeshows, and marketing events through demonstrations and presentations

We are seeking a Solution Engineer, based in Mumbai or Bangalore to work closely with Sales teams and enterprise customers to identify business challenges and position BMC Helix solutions that best address their needs. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role supporting strategic enterprise accounts and new logo opportunities and may require short-duration travel within India and occasional international travel based on business needs.

The primary focus of this role is Solution Engineering. In addition, we are open to hiring strong technical professionals with hands-on BMC Remedy or Helix ITSM experience who demonstrate the aptitude and interest to be upskilled into a Solution Engineering role.

BMC Helix combines Service Management and Operations Management into a single, automated platform built on modern technologies such as microservices, AI/ML, containers, and cloud—enabling customers to deliver services faster while reducing cost and risk.

• Strong ability to lead technical discoveries, demos, PoVs, and value-based discussions
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
