Job summary

BMC Software in Maharashtra, India, seeks a skilled Business Systems Analyst to optimize processes and systems by gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into actionable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Experience in leading business analysis initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements.
• Proficiency in BPMN, UML, and user stories.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience in Agile methodology and Jira.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to analyze complex business problems and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.

Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in Helix! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. Helix is looking for a Business Analyst to join our amazing global IS&T team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our business processes and systems, by collecting requirements from stakeholders and translating them to actionable system solutions. You will be a part of a collaborative global team, while leveraging technology to drive processes and systems efficiency.

• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements, priorities, and constraints.
• Translate requirements and business objectives into actionable system solutions.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and automation.
• Develop detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, and functional specifications to support system enhancements and implementations.
• Analyze and document complex business processes, data flows, and system interactions, and recommend solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment of business requirements with technical solutions and project objectives.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA analysts, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, preferably from a global enterprise software company
• Experience in leading business analysis initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements.
• Proficiency in business process modeling, requirements elicitation, and documentation techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML, user stories).
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience working in an Agile methodology, and familiarity with project management tools, such as Jira.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business problems, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience in supporting DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools, data analysis techniques, and SQL querying is a plus.
• Experience working in SaaS companies and Cloud-based environments.
