HDFC Bank Limited in Gurugram seeks an experienced Java backend engineer to design, develop and deploy scalable microservices. You will work with Spring Boot, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and modern CI/CD pipelines to deliver secure, high-performance services.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with product, QA and DevOps, and help shape architectural decisions in an agile environment, focusing on reliability, observability and robust data access via PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms.
• Solid experience designing and developing microservices.
• Hands-on expertise in CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Experience leading development teams and managing end-to-end delivery.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, security, performance tuning, and system integration.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide effective root-cause analysis and resolutions.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, guiding them on technical design and best practices.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and technical decision-making.
